AIT Alumni Association, Bangladesh Chapter (AITAA-B) had made a courtesy call with Her Excellency Mrs. Thitiporn Chirasawadi, Ambassador of Thailand to Bangladesh on 17 June 2026 at the Royal Thai Embassy, Dhaka.

Her Excellency warmly received the five-member AITAA-B delegation, comprising Professor Dr. Md. Kamal Uddin (Advisor), Mr. Md. Abul Kashem Md. Shirin (Former President and Advisor), Mr. Shakh Md. Moinuddin Chowdhury (Vice President), Dr. Asraful Alam (General Secretary), and myself as President.

Following a brief round of introductions, Her Excellency opened the discussion. On behalf of the delegation, the President of AITAA-B Mr. Habibur Rahman, PEng., CEng. briefed her on the activities and programmes of AITAA-B, potential areas of cooperation with the Embassy, and the enduring relationship between the alumni community of AIT and the Thailand.

Her Excellency listened attentively, appreciated our initiatives, and assured us that our proposals and views would be duly reviewed. She also expressed her interest in maintaining communication and exploring future collaboration with AITAA-B.

At the close of the meeting, a souvenir was presented to Her Excellency on behalf of AITAA-B.

Following the meeting, Professor Dr. Kamal Uddin signed the condolence book on behalf of AITAA-B in memory of Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Mahidol of Thailand, eldest daughter of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn.

This meeting marks an important first step in building a closer relationship between AITAA-B and the Royal Thai Embassy.
